One of the main concerns of ship designers, shipbuilders and ship owners today is fatigue damage of ships at sea. Cracks caused by such damage can cause a total breakdown of the steel structure, leading up to oil spills, extensive repairs, loss of hire and - worst of all - loss of lives.

Regular close-up inspections and immediate repairs are required to identify the problem and keep it under control without interrupting the vessel’s day-to-day operation. Our focus for our clientele is to properly analyze the problem and come up with cost-effective solutions, which will stand up over time. (For some designs, this has meant adding up to 1500 new brackets in cargo wing tanks alone.)
